Distanced worship

"Therefore , since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author of our faith."

Hebrews 12:1-2, NKJ

Perhaps it was fitting to physically part ways with the festive joint-parish worship and dinner following Pastor Emily's installation. Things have not been the same since March 16th, the day when in-church gatherings were put on hold and our fast of Holy Communion began. As Paul says above, we witness with the saints above the heavy weight of the destruction that Covid-19 has and continues to plague us with; yet we look to the cross of Christ from wherever we are because Jesus is our faith. We know that the church is not the building. The church is the people. The church is not somewhere we go. The church are the members of the Body of Christ on earth. So we endure in our fast and stay steady in our faith.

Worship at-home resources

Both churches have drop off bins at the entrances that are available 24/7. In them are resources for at-home worship such as weekly Synod print outs, coloring pages, and devotionals. We also offer DVD's, CDs, and books. Of course, the face masks are there as we near collectively giving out 5,000 of them in Burnett and Polk Counties! That's God's ministry in a tote!  Help yourself!
